With more than 15 years of global advocacy, public policy and strategic communications experience, LaGanga serves as senior vice president of global advocacy and strategic alliances at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA). In this role, he leads a team responsible for external stakeholder relations on behalf of the U.S. biopharmaceutical sector, which includes frequent outreach to patient groups, health care providers, business leaders, organized labor, venture capital and academic institutions. LaGanga also serves as executive director of the Partnership for Safe Medicines (PSM), a public private partnership of more than 70 organizations dedicated to combating counterfeit and unsafe medicines around the globe.

In this role at PhRMA, he is the creator and executive manager of public and private initiatives in more than 20 countries, working with 100+ international partner organizations on issues ranging from the integration of global health systems to increasing protections for intellectual property rights.

Formerly, LaGanga was executive director and co-founder of the Property Rights Alliance, a Washington, D.C.-based advocacy organization dedicated to the protection of physical and intellectual property rights, both domestically and worldwide. LaGanga completed an MBA at George Washington University in 2009, with concentrations in international business and management. He also holds an MPAP in public affairs and politics from the Bloustein School of Planning and Policy at Rutgers University and a BA in political science from the University of Maryland, College Park.
